Communications

Photography and design

People universally take a greater interest in a publication if the images are creative and vibrant, whether the publication is targeted at researchers, industry, or a general audience. Scientific researchers and industry benefit from high-quality, interesting images of their specimens, field studies, and research activities for use in presentations and scientific journals.

Effective design of posters, brochures, field guides, and other information publications generate interest in a topic, and they enhance communication with the target audience. Publications and presentations intended for any audience have a much higher appeal if the images, design, color management, and quality control are consistent and clean.

Dion Manastyrski has the experience and the expertise for uncompromising excellence with all aspects of the imaging, design, and layout of any visually-oriented publication, whether it is a poster, brochure, book, or field guide.

Below are a few examples of projects that Dion was involved with as the primary photographer. There are several works-in-progress that will be added to the list in the future, including the printed version of the Field Guide to Conifer Defoliating Insects of British Columbia.
